UTM Link Builder

To create a UTM link, enter the destination URL and at least a utm_source value; the tool adds the parameters to the URL and produces a link you can copy and a QR code. Values are converted to lowercase automatically, leading and trailing spaces are removed and inner spaces become hyphens, so 'Instagram' and 'instagram' do not show up as separate sources in your analytics. Existing parameters and the #fragment in the URL are kept.

https:// is added if you leave it out; existing parameters and the #fragment are kept.
Where the traffic comes from: instagram, google, newsletter…
Channel type: social, cpc, email, qr…
Campaign name: summer-sale, launch…
Optional; the keyword in paid search.
Optional; tells apart different creatives or links in one campaign.

Your data never leaves your device: everything runs in your browser and nothing is sent to a server.

Frequently asked questions

What are UTM parameters for?

utm_ parameters added to a link let analytics tools such as Google Analytics tell which source, channel and campaign a visitor came from. For example, you can separate visitors arriving at the same page from an Instagram story and from an email newsletter.

Which UTM parameters are required?

In this tool only utm_source is required. Filling in utm_medium and utm_campaign is recommended for meaningful reports; utm_term and utm_content are optional.

Why are values converted to lowercase?

Analytics tools treat UTM values as case-sensitive; 'Instagram' and 'instagram' are reported as separate sources. Keeping every value lowercase and without spaces keeps your reports consistent.

Do UTM links affect my page's SEO?

Use UTM URLs only in campaign links, not in internal links on your site. If your page has a canonical tag pointing to its own clean URL, search engines can treat the parameterised URL as the same page.

Are the link and my inputs saved?

The link is built in your browser and is not sent to a server. For convenience, your last values are kept only in your own browser's local storage; you can delete them by clearing your browser data.
